23-NOVEMBER-2024 - DIRECT PATHWAY

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: DIRECT PATHWAY

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

Devotional

When you think about your future, you might wonder if there’s a clear, direct path to get there. The truth is, while life can seem complicated, God promises to guide you when you trust Him fully.

Imagine David, the shepherd boy who became a king. He didn’t know exactly how he would go from tending sheep to ruling Israel, but he trusted God every step of the way. Even when life was uncertain, he submitted his path to God, who led him to his destiny.

Like David, when you trust God, He directs your steps even when the path seems unclear. No matter what your dreams are, God will guide you and make your path straight if you keep trusting Him.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What does trusting God with my future look like in my  daily life?
  2. In what ways can I submit my plans to God and allow Him to guide me?

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, I trust You to guide my steps and make my path clear. Help me to submit my plans to You and follow where You lead. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I will get to where I am going with my trust in God
  • I trust in God’s plan for my life, and He will make my path clear.
  • Kudos to me for letting God lead the way!"

Do have a beautiful day. I’ll see you tomorrow

22-NOVEMBER-2024 - RESTING IN GOD’S PEACE

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: RESTING IN GOD’S PEACE

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: John 14:27 (NIV)
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."

Devotional:
In a world full of stress, chaos, and constant demands, finding peace can feel impossible. We often search for peace in external circumstances—through people, success, or material things. However, true and lasting peace can only be found in God. Resting in God’s peace means letting go of our worries and placing our trust in Him, knowing that He is in control. It’s about surrendering our anxieties and embracing the calm assurance that God’s plan is perfect, even when life feels uncertain.

One powerful example of resting in God’s peace comes from the life of Corrie ten Boom, a Dutch Christian who helped hide Jews during the Holocaust. Despite being imprisoned in a concentration camp, Corrie remained strong in her faith. She found peace in God even in the most horrific circumstances. She once said, “There is no pit so deep, that God’s love is not deeper still.” Her unwavering trust in God’s peace carried her through unimaginable trials.

Resting in God’s peace doesn’t mean life will be without difficulties, but it does mean that we can face challenges without fear or anxiety. God’s peace is available to us in every situation, and when we surrender our worries to Him, we can find comfort and strength in His presence.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What areas of my life are causing me stress or anxiety right now?
  2. How can I practise trusting God’s plan and resting in His peace in those situations?
  3. What steps can I take to focus more on God’s promises and less on my worries?
  4. How does trusting in God’s peace change the way I face life’s challenges?

Let us pray:
Lord, help me to rest in Your perfect peace. When my heart is troubled and anxious, remind me that You are in control. Give me the strength to surrender my worries to You and trust that Your peace will guard my heart and mind. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I will rest in God's peace, knowing it will get me to where I am going.
  • I rest in God’s peace, knowing that He is in control of every situation in my life.
  • I let go of my anxieties and trust in His perfect plan, allowing His peace to fill my heart and guide my steps.

Do have an awe-mazing day. Take good care, I’ll see you tomorrow

21-NOVEMBER-2024 - GROWING FROM MISTAKES

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: GROWING FROM MISTAKES

The quote for today’s devotional is:
"Success is not final, failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts." – Winston Churchill

Devotional:
Mistakes are an inevitable part of life, but what truly matters is how we respond to them. Every mistake carries a lesson, and when we choose to grow from them, we become stronger and wiser. It’s easy to feel discouraged when things don’t go as planned, but mistakes are often stepping stones to success. They provide us with valuable insight into areas where we can improve, and they challenge us to adapt and evolve.

Consider the story of Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Jordan was cut from his high school basketball team, a moment that could have been a crushing defeat. Instead, he used that experience as motivation to work harder, pushing himself to become a better player. His famous quote, "I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed," highlights how mistakes and failures played a key role in his journey to success.

Just like Jordan, we all encounter mistakes along the way. Rather than letting them define or discourage us, we can choose to learn from them. Every mistake is an opportunity to reflect, grow, and become better equipped for future challenges.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Can I recall a mistake I made that taught me an important lesson?
  2. How do I typically react to mistakes—do I get discouraged, or do I see them as opportunities to grow?
  3. What steps can I take to embrace mistakes and turn them into learning experiences?
  4. How can my response to mistakes shape my future success?

Let us pray:
Lord, help me to see mistakes not as failures, but as opportunities for growth. Grant me the humility to learn from them and the strength to keep moving forward. Teach me to embrace challenges with grace and wisdom, knowing that You are guiding my path. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • My mistakes are learnings to get me to where I am going.
  • I grow from every mistake I make.
  • Each misstep is a valuable lesson that brings me closer to my goals.
  • I embrace the learning process and use it to become stronger, wiser, and more resilient.

Have a wonderful day my darling overcomers. I’ll see you tomorrow.

20-NOVEMBER-2024 - YOU CAN RE-ROUTE

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: YOU CAN RE-ROUTE

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Proverbs 16:9 (NIV)

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps."

Devotional

Have you ever had a plan that didn’t work out the way you expected? Life is full of twists and turns, and sometimes things don’t go according to plan. But the good news is, you can always re-route! Just like a GPS recalculates when you take a wrong turn, God can guide you back on track when life’s plans change.

Remember the story of Jonah? He tried to run away from God’s plan, but God re-routed him back to Nineveh. Even though Jonah had his own ideas, God’s plan prevailed. When we make mistakes or encounter setbacks, God can re-direct us just like He did with Jonah.

If your plans don’t work out or you make a wrong turn, trust that God can re-route you to the right path. He always has a way of getting you where you need to go.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Have I faced a situation where my plans didn’t work out? How did I handle it?
  2. How can I trust God to re-route me when things don’t go as planned?

Let us pray:

Lord, when my plans don’t go as expected, help me trust that You are still in control. Re-route me according to Your perfect plan. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • It's okay to re-route to get to where I am going.
  • I trust God to re-route me when life takes unexpected turns.
  • Kudos to me for being flexible and keeping faith!"

I wish you all a beautiful day. I’ll see you tomorrow.

19-NOVEMBER-2024 - STEP UP

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: STEP UP

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Colossians 3:23 (NIV)

"Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters." —

Devotional

There are moments in life when you’re called to step up—to rise above challenges, take responsibility, and give your best effort. Stepping up means doing what needs to be done, even when it’s difficult or outside of your comfort zone. Colossians 3:23 encourages us to give our all, not just for others, but as an offering to God.

Think of athletes, musicians, or even students who go the extra mile to succeed. They don’t wait for the perfect conditions; they step up and give their best.

Think of Nehemiah, who took the initiative to rebuild Jerusalem’s walls. Even though it was a huge responsibility, he stepped up because he knew the work was important. He didn’t wait for others to act—he took charge and worked hard, knowing he was doing it for God.

You, too, can step up in your life by taking responsibility and giving your best effort in everything you do. Whether it’s school, home, or helping others, you honor God when you give your all.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. In what areas of my life is God calling me to step up?
  2. How can I give my best effort, knowing I am working for God, not just people?

Let us pray:

Lord, give me the strength and courage to step up in every area of my life. Help me to give my best, knowing that I’m working for You. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I will get to where I am going because I will always do my best.
  • I step up and give my best in all I do, knowing that I work for the Lord.
  • Kudos to me for pushing forward with faith!"

Give your best shot today beautiful souls. Take good care of yourselves, I’ll see you tomorrow.
