16-JUNE-2025 -SHINE YOUR LIGHT, DON’T HIDE

THE MAIN THEME: STANDING OUT
TITLE: SHINE YOUR LIGHT, DON’T HIDE

The quote for today’s devotional is:
"Nothing can dim the light that shines from within." — Maya Angelou

Devotional

Have you ever hidden something you were proud of because you feared judgment? Maybe it was a dream you tucked away, a talent you kept to yourself, or a passion you whispered about in private. Many of us have been there — afraid to stand out, afraid to be seen.

But imagine if the sun decided to hide its rays because it was worried about being too bright. The world would be cold, dark, and lifeless. Just like the sun, you were created to shine boldly, fearlessly, and joyfully.

Consider the story of Rosa Parks. She wasn’t loud, and she wasn’t trying to be famous. Yet, by choosing not to hide her dignity and conviction, she became a beacon of change. Your light, no matter how simple you think it is, has the power to spark transformation around you.

When you hide your light, the world misses out on the warmth, brilliance, and hope you bring. Be proud of who you are. Embrace your talents, your values, your dreams. Shine — not arrogantly, but courageously — knowing that you are lighting the way for others, too.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What talents or passions have I been hiding?
  2. Why do I sometimes feel afraid to let my true self be seen?
  3. How can I encourage myself to shine, even in uncomfortable spaces?
  4. Who in my life needs permission to shine, just by seeing me do it first?

Let us pray:

Dear God, thank You for the light You have placed inside me. Help me to overcome fear, insecurity, and doubt. Give me the courage to shine brightly and confidently, making a difference in my world. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  1. I am created to shine my light boldly.
  2. My gifts and talents are valuable to the world.
  3. I am not afraid to be seen and heard.
  4. I inspire others when I live authentically.

Shine proudly today — the world is a better place because of your light! See you tomorrow!

15-JUNE-2025 -SHINE BRIGHT, DON'T DIM

THE MAIN THEME: STANDING OUT
 TITLE: SHINE BRIGHT, DON'T DIM

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Matthew 5:14 (NIV)
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden."

Devotional

Have you ever been in a dark room and noticed how even the tiniest light makes a difference? Light naturally stands out; it doesn't struggle to be seen — it just shines. In the same way, you were created to shine brightly in a world that sometimes prefers conformity over authenticity.

Sadly, many people dim their light to fit in, to avoid criticism, or to make others feel comfortable. But dimming your light doesn't help anyone—not yourself, not those who need your gifts, and certainly not the God who placed that light inside you.

Think about Daniel in the Bible. Even in a foreign land, surrounded by people with different values, Daniel refused to dim his light. He remained faithful, wise, and excellent, and because of that, he stood out and impacted an entire kingdom.

God has given you a unique light — your talents, your voice, your compassion, your ideas. Don't be afraid to let it shine. You never know who might find their way because of your glow.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. In what areas of my life am I tempted to dim my light?
  2. How can I confidently let my true self shine?
  3. Who needs the light that I carry today?
  4. What would shining brighter for God look like this week?

Let us pray:

Dear Father, thank You for placing Your light inside of me. Help me to shine boldly and never shrink back. Teach me to use my gifts fearlessly and to be a beacon of hope, love, and truth wherever I go. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  1. I am the light of the world, and I shine brightly.
  2. I do not dim my light to please others.
  3. I boldly express the gifts God has placed within me.
  4. I inspire others through the radiance of my true self.

Keep shining — the world needs your light more than ever! See you tomorrow.

14-JUNE-2025 -RISE ABOVE THE NOISE

THE MAIN THEME: STANDING OUT
 TITLE: RISE ABOVE THE NOISE

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Exodus 14:14 (NIV)

"The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

Devotional

Life today is loud — social media, opinions, expectations, criticism. Everyone seems to have something to say about who you should be, what you should do, and how you should live. It’s easy to get caught up in the noise and lose your true voice.

Imagine an eagle soaring high above the chaos of the forest. While other birds flap and screech, the eagle rides the winds in majestic silence, undistracted by the noise below. That’s what rising above the noise looks like for us — refusing to get dragged down by the confusion, negativity, and distractions around us.

Moses and the Israelites faced overwhelming noise, fear, complaints, threats, as they stood by the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s army chasing them. Yet God told them to be still and trust Him to fight. In the stillness, they witnessed one of the greatest miracles in history.

When we quiet our hearts and fix our eyes on God, we rise above the noise. We live purposefully, confidently, and peacefully, no matter how loud the world gets.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What "noise" do I need to rise above right now?
  2. How can I create more moments of stillness and focus in my daily life?
  3. Am I allowing other people's opinions to drown out God's voice in my life?
  4. What would it look like for me to trust God more completely?

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, thank You for being my peace in a noisy world. Help me to rise above distractions, fear, and negativity. Teach me to hear Your voice clearly and to live with boldness and confidence. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  1. I rise above negativity and distractions.
  2. I hear and follow God's voice above all others.
  3. I walk in peace, strength, and purpose.
  4. I am focused, fearless, and faithful.

Keep soaring like the eagle — the sky is wide and waiting for you! I'll see you tomorrow.

 13-JUNE-2025 -REBEL WITH A CAUSE

THE MAIN THEME: STANDING OUT
 TITLE: REBEL WITH A CAUSE

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Romans 12:2 (NIV)
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind."

Devotional

When you hear the word "rebel," you might think of someone breaking rules just for the thrill. But not all rebellion is reckless. Sometimes, it’s necessary — especially when it’s about standing up for what's right.

Think of Esther. She could have kept silent and played it safe in the palace. Instead, she courageously risked her life to save her people (Esther 4). Her "rebellion" wasn’t about defying for defiance's sake — it was rooted in a cause much greater than herself.

In today's world, standing for truth, kindness, justice, and faith can feel like an act of rebellion. When you refuse to conform to negativity, dishonesty, or selfishness, you become a "rebel with a cause" — someone who is changing the world by standing firm in godly principles.

You don't have to cause chaos to be a rebel. Sometimes, the greatest act of rebellion is quietly living out love, truth, and excellence in a noisy, broken world.

So today, ask yourself: what worthy cause am I willing to "rebel" for?

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What is one cause I am passionate about that aligns with God's heart?
  2. Where have I been tempted to "blend in" instead of standing out for what's right?
  3. How can I live courageously for my values today?
  4. Who inspires me to stand firm even when it’s unpopular?

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, help me to be courageous and bold. Teach me not to conform to what is wrong but to stand strong for what is right. Fill me with the strength to be a positive force for change in my world. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  1. I am courageous in standing for truth and righteousness.
  2. I am a positive force for good in the world.
  3. I walk boldly in God's purpose for my life.
  4. I am unafraid to be different for the right cause.

Keep standing strong and daring to be different for the right reasons! The world needs your light. See you tomorrow!

12-JUNE-2025 -UNSCRIPTED AND UNSTOPPABLE

THE MAIN THEME:  STANDING OUT

TITLE: UNSCRIPTED AND UNSTOPPABLE

The bible verse for today’s devotional is Jeremiah 1:5 (NIV)

"Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

Devotional

Life often doesn't go the way we plan it. As teenagers, you might have an idea of where you want to go, what you want to become, and how things should work out. But sometimes, things take unexpected turns. You might feel like you're not in control, like your plans are falling apart, or like nothing is going according to script.

But here's the truth: God has a bigger plan for you, one that isn't bound by the limitations of your own script. Think about it — we all love to watch a well-planned movie with a perfect ending. But what if the real joy in life comes from living the unscripted moments? These are the moments where God steps in and shows His power, leading us through challenges and teaching us to trust His timing, even when it doesn’t align with our own.

Imagine a story where a young boy is given the lead role in a play. The script is long, filled with lines he must memorize, but he has one big problem: he doesn’t like reading the script. One night, right before the show begins, the script is blown away by the wind, and he’s left with nothing but his instincts and what he knows. So, he begins to improvise, relying on his heart, his courage, and his understanding of the play’s theme.

In the end, his performance is the best the audience has ever seen — not because he followed the script, but because he allowed his creativity, confidence, and trust in the director to guide him. This, like our own lives, is what it means to be unscripted and unstoppable. Sometimes, we may feel like we're not prepared for what's ahead, but God is always preparing us to trust Him in the unexpected.

Paul wrote in Philippians 4:13 that we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us. What does that mean for you as a teenager trying to figure out life? It means you can tackle your challenges head-on, even when they seem too big or too overwhelming. You can be bold in the face of adversity, and when everything feels out of control, you can lean on God's unshakable strength.

Being unscripted means trusting God even when the path is unclear. Being unstoppable means refusing to give up, even when you’re unsure of the outcome. It’s not about perfection—it’s about permission: giving yourself permission to grow, to rise after falling, and to shine in your God-given identity.

When you allow God to be the author of your story, you become unstoppable—not because everything is perfect, but because His power is made perfect in your weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9).

You don’t need a script to be significant. You just need to show up—faithful, available, and ready

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. In what areas of my life am I trying to follow someone else’s script instead of trusting God’s plan for me?
  2. What does “be unstoppable" in Christ mean to me personally?
  3. How can I embrace my uniqueness rather than hide it?
  4. Who or what do I need to let go of to walk freely in God’s purpose for me?

Let us Pray:

Lord, thank You for writing a unique and beautiful story for my life. Help me let go of the pressure to perform or be perfect. Teach me to walk in boldness and faith, even when the path seems uncertain. I trust You to lead me. Make me unscripted and unstoppable in Your purpose in Jesus Name. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  1.       "I am more than capable because Christ strengthens me."
  2.       "I am confident in the face of challenges."
  3.       "I trust God’s plan, even when it’s unscripted.

Dear lovelies, take good care of yourselves, I’ll see you all tomorrow
