17-APRIL-2025 - WHAT IS YOUR WORLD ABOUT

THE MAIN THEME: CHANGING YOUR WORLD

TITLE: WHAT IS YOUR WORLD ABOUT?

Our quote for today’s devotional is:

"Be the change that you wish to see in the world." — Mahatma Gandhi

Devotional

Change does not start around you; it starts within you. Every great movement of transformation began with an individual choosing to think differently, speak differently, and act differently. Your world is shaped by your thoughts, words, and actions. Each day, you have the power to create a life of meaning and impact. Are you choosing to be a force for good? True transformation begins with self-awareness and intentionality.

When you renew your mind and align it with God’s truth, you become a light in your world. Your choices today can create a ripple effect that leads to lasting impact.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What are the things in my world that need change?
  2. What habits or mindsets do I need to renew?
  3. How can I positively influence those around me today?

Let Us Pray:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of today. Help me to be a light in my world. Transform my mind so that I reflect Your love and wisdom in all I do. May my actions bring change, hope, and peace to those around me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I am a world-changer.
  • I am intentional about the life I create.
  • My actions bring light, love, and transformation.
  • I choose growth, wisdom, and purpose daily.

Do have a fulfilling day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!

16-APRIL-2025 - START WITH YOURSELF – TRANSFORMATION BEGINS FROM WITHIN

THE MAIN THEME: CHANGING YOUR WORLD

TITLE: START WITH YOURSELF – TRANSFORMATION BEGINS FROM WITHIN

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is: Romans 12:2 (NIV)

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Devotional

When you want to change the world, the best place to start is with yourself. Think about a mirror – it reflects precisely what is before it. You must become a better version of yourself to see a better version of the world.

Transformation begins from within. It starts with your thoughts, your choices, and your habits. No one becomes better by accident. When you intentionally work on your character, attitude, and mindset, you inspire others to improve.

Don’t wait for the world to change – start by changing yourself. Small steps like being kind, honest, disciplined, or prayerful can create a ripple effect that transforms your community.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1.   What is one habit I can change to become a better person?
  2.   How does my attitude affect those around me?
  3.   What kind of influence do I want to have on others?
  4.   How can I ask God to help me transform from within?

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, help me to understand that true change starts with me. Renew my mind and give me the strength to become the best version of myself. Let my life inspire others positively. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  • I am a world changer
  • I am becoming the best version of myself.
  • My inner transformation impacts my world.
  • God is working on me daily.
  •  I am a light to those around me.

Start with yourself today. Small changes within you can create a significant impact around you. I'll see you tomorrow!

15-APRIL-2025 - YOUR WORDS HAVE POWER

THE MAIN THEME: CHANGING YOUR WORLD

TITLE: YOUR WORDS HAVE POWER

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is:   Proverbs 18:21 (NIV)

“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

Devotional

Words shape our reality. What we speak about ourselves, others and our circumstances carries power. Just as God spoke the world into existence, our words can build up or tear down, bring hope or discouragement, and create opportunities or barriers.

Think about a time when someone’s words either lifted you up or deeply wounded you. The impact of those words didn’t just disappear; they influenced how you saw yourself and your situation. Now consider the words you speak daily. Are they filled with faith, encouragement, and truth, or are they laced with doubt, negativity, and fear?

James 3:5 compares the tongue to a small spark that can set a great forest on fire. A single careless word can destroy relationships, dreams, and confidence. But words can also heal, restore, and inspire. Jesus spoke words of life. If you want to change your world, start by changing your words. Speak life over yourself and others. Declare God’s promises instead of your fears. Choose to uplift rather than tear down. When you align your words with faith and purpose, you create an atmosphere where growth, healing, and transformation can thrive.

Here are a few reflective questions

  1. What kind of words do I speak most often -life-giving or discouraging?
  2. How have words spoken to me in the past shaped my beliefs about myself?
  3. In what areas of my life do I need to start speaking God’s truth instead of my fears?
  4. How can I use my words today to encourage someone and bring positive change?

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • My words have power.
  • I choose to speak life, hope, and truth.
  • I will use my voice to build, encourage, and inspire, knowing that my words can shape my world for the better.

Take good care of yourself. I’ll see you tomorrow.

14-APRIL-2025 - USING SOCIAL MEDIA WISELY

THE MAIN THEME: CHANGING YOUR WORLD

TITLE: USING SOCIAL MEDIA WISELY

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is: Colossians 4:6 (NIV)
Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.”

Devotional:

In today's world, being on social media is becoming not just common but sometimes necessary. Not just in terms of connecting with people but often, higher institutions use their social media platforms to send out messages to student communities, and even if we may not be typical ‘social media types’, we may need to engage through these various platforms at one point or another.

It is important to remember therefore, that our digital footprints should be such that when we are older or when someone wants to research about us (eg before giving us a job or a visa) , what they see (from our social media posts and comments) will align with who we say we are. Our character and values must be reflected even in our online communication.

Here are some tips that can protect you online:

  1. Think Before You Post: Ask yourself if your content is kind, true, and helpful.
  2. Limit Screen Time: Don’t let social media distract you from real-life relationships and responsibilities.
  3. Follow Positive Accounts: Fill your feed with content that encourages your faith and growth and reflects who you say you are.
  4. Spread Positivity: Share Bible verses, encouraging messages, and uplifting stories.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  • How does your social media reflect your faith and values?
  • What changes can you make to use social media more wisely?
  • Who inspires you with their positive online presence?

 Let Us Pray:

Dear God, help me use social media in a way that honors You. Let my words be full of grace and my posts reflect kindness and truth. Guide me to be a positive influence online and in real life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I use my online presence to honour God and reflect His love.
  • I am in control of my activities on social media — it doesn’t control me.
  • My words and actions online bring light and encouragement.

Have a great and amazing day. I’ll see you tomorrow.

13-APRIL-2025 - SHARING YOUR FAITH WITH CONFIDENCE

THE MAIN THEME: CHANGING YOUR WORLD

TITLE: SHARING YOUR FAITH WITH CONFIDENCE

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is: 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NIV)
We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

Devotional:

Nina was part of the youth group at her church, and although she loved being in church and doing all the other activities, she couldn’t get herself to join in the group evangelism which happened once a month. Her fear of speaking out about her faith was so much that over time, she started making excuses to avoid being in church on such days. Sometimes she would find that a few days before the event, she would have a cold or some sort of body pain that would make her feel too unwell to leave the house. When her parents spoke with her about this, she confirmed that she was afraid because she was not sure what she would say or if others would listen to her.

Nina’s concerns are normal and everyone has them. But God is not expecting us to convince anyone about our faith, He simply calls us to share about the love of God and how that love has impacted our own lives. Sometimes, sharing our faith does not have to be in a group event or some grand occasion, it can be done when we sit with a friend and share why we believe that God loves us. Confidence in sharing about our faith comes with practice( practice with our friends, practice in front of a mirror, etc,) and above all else, know that the Master(God) commands that we share our faith, so go ahead and ask God to help you have the boldness and the right words to share with others.

The thing is, sharing our faith, first blesses us before it blesses others: beyond the eternal benefits, it feels good to know we are doing the will of God and representing Him on earth, it builds our faith and secures us as it is an opportunity to tell others who we truly belong to.

Here are a few reflective questions:

 -        What are the reasons I don’t share my faith with confidence?

-          How can I overcome those limiting beliefs? Who can I speak to about them?

-          What benefits can come from sharing my faith with others?

Let Us Pray:

Dear God, I thank you for the privilege to represent you on the earth. I trust you to give me the right words and enable me by your Spirit to tell others about you with boldness in Jesus name. amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  •       I am Christ’s ambassador.
  •       I represent Christ with boldness.
  •       God works through me to reconcile others to Himself.

Have a nice day. Take good care of yourself. I’ll see you tomorrow.
