Devotional:

What does it mean to live a fulfilled life?

Let me start by first telling a few things fulfilment is not: 

• It is not just about the possession of money or material things or external validation
• It is not the likes and followers on social media
• It is not how beautiful or handsome you are, nor is it the trendy clothes or latest phone.
• It is not being busy all the time, thinking that's what makes you important.
• It is not relying on others to make you happy
• It is not only thinking about yourself, without considering how you can make a positive impact on the world.

Do you remember how you felt when you finally mastered a difficult skill, or understood a difficult topic, or achieved goals you worked so hard for? That's fulfilment!"

Or think about a time when you helped someone, made someone smile or made a positive impact in someone’s life. That's fulfilment and that feeling is what makes life meaningful and worth living." 

A fulfilled life isn't about you alone, it's a life of impact.

"Fulfilment is like finding your 'why' in life. It's when you're doing things that make you happy, give you a sense of purpose, and make you feel like you're making a positive impact. It's like finding a puzzle piece that fits just right, and you feel like you're where you're meant to be.

Imagine you're doing something you love, like playing music, drawing, or helping others. You're so engaged that you lose track of time, and you feel like you're making a difference and providing a solution. That's fulfilment! It's a feeling of contentment, happiness, and purpose all mixed together."

And the icing on the cake is when the purpose aligns with God's plan. It must.

Here are a few reflective questions:

1. Have I ever felt fulfilled? What was I doing? and why did it bring me such a sense of fulfilment?
2. What may pose as obstacles that may prevent me from living a fulfilled life. How can I overcome them?
3. Why do I need to feel fulfilled?

Let us pray: 

May what I find fulfilling pass the test of worship unto God.

• I acknowledge God in all my ways.

Every rational human being starts on a journey with the destination in mind.

You don't want to be confused; you want to stay focused with less distractions in life? Having vision and mission statements is the way to go.

Crafting a personal vision and mission statement is like creating a roadmap to your dreams! It's a powerful way to define your purpose and direction in life. A vision statement outlines what you aspire to achieve in the future, while a mission statement defines how you will get there.

Just like Nehemiah, a cupbearer to the Persian king, had a bold vision to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and a mission to lead his people to make it happen, you, too, can achieve your goals with determination and faith.

Despite obstacles and challenges, Nehemiah's story teaches us that having a clear vision and mission can help us navigate life's journey with purpose and confidence. Having a vision and mission statement as a teenager is crucial for clarity, direction, and focus. It helps you set goals, make decisions, and develop a sense of purpose and self-awareness.

With a clear vision and mission, you'll be more motivated, confident, and resilient in facing challenges. By defining your vision and mission, you'll set yourself up for success, develop a positive mindset, and discover your passions. It's a powerful tool to achieve your goals, enhance creativity, and prepare for a fulfilling future.

Here are a few reflective questions:

1. Why am I here? Can I craft my vision and mission statements to align with my purpose?
2. What specific daily actions and steps am I to be taking to accomplish my vision.
3. How can I stay focused on my mission despite potential distractions, obstacles and challenges?
4. Have I pasted my mission and vision statement where i can see it daily?

Let us pray:

Dear Lord, do not let me just craft my mission and vision statements. Help me to accomplish them in Jesus name.

• I am here because I am somebody on a mission for a vision.
• I will live out my purpose.
• I rise above all distractions and obstacles preventing my vision

The Lord said, “If as one people speaking the same language, they have begun to do this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them.

 The Meta effect is profound. Decades ago, no one could have imagined the technology we all enjoy today. Some people with foresight came together to revolutionize the world by providing platforms and solutions to connections, innovation, inclusion and empowerment.

Our imagination is a gift from God. It allows us to see possibilities beyond our current reality. With imagination, we can dream big, think creatively, and innovate solutions to problems. God designed us with the ability to imagine and pursue dreams, knowing that nothing is beyond our reach when we are focused and in unity.

Using our imagination helps us overcome challenges and create something extraordinary. Seeking God's guidance in our endeavors also ensures that our imagination and efforts are aligned with His will. God delights in our dreams and aspirations. He wants us to succeed and flourish, using our unique gifts and talents for His glory.

Setting specific goals helps direct our imagination and efforts. Use your imagination to explore new ideas and solutions. Creativity is a divine gift that moves us forward.

• How can I use your imagination to envision great things in my life?
• What dreams has God placed in my heart that I can start pursuing?

Many of us know Apple because of how popular and useful their innovations have been. What we often forget, however, is that Apple started small. With hard work and dedication, it became a huge company that influences many people. In the same way, when we are diligent and faithful in the little things, God can use them to grow into something big.

Apple began in a small garage but grew into a huge company. Our small acts of dedication and diligence can grow into big blessings. Just as Apple worked hard and stayed dedicated, we should be faithful in our small tasks. God sees our efforts and can grow them into something great.

The Bible tells us not to fear because God is pleased to give us His kingdom. We can trust that our small, faithful actions are part of His bigger plan. Like Apple, we too can change and influence the world with what we have.

It’s important to keep doing good, even when it seems small or you feel discouraged. Your hard work and faithfulness can make a big difference over time. Know that God sees your efforts and has great plans for you. 

Be encouraged that your small actions are important to Him and He is willing and ready to help.
