28-NOVEMBER-2024 - BREAKING FREE FROM DOUBT

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: BREAKING FREE FROM DOUBT

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: James 1:6 (NIV)

"But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind.."

 Devotional:
Doubt can creep into our hearts and minds, causing us to question our faith, our purpose, and even God’s presence. But we are called to stand firm in our belief, trusting in God's unchanging nature. Breaking free from doubt requires renewing our minds with the truth of God’s Word and reminding ourselves of His faithfulness. It’s time to let go of doubt and embrace the certainty that comes from a relationship with God - The knowledge of a good God and your acceptance of the beautiful plans he has for you is the recipe for overcoming doubt.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What doubts have been weighing me down lately?
  2. How can I replace those doubts with the truth of God’s Word?
  3. How has God proven Himself trustworthy in my life?

LET US PRAY:
Lord, forgive me for the times I have doubted You. Help me to stand firm in faith, trusting in Your promises even when my circumstances seem uncertain. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I release all doubts and trust fully in God’s plan for my life.
  • My faith is stronger than my fears; I walk in confidence.
  • I am rooted in the truth of God’s Word, which overcomes any uncertainty.

Do have a doubt-free day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!

27-NOVEMBER-2024 - KEEPING HOPE ALIVE

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: KEEPING HOPE ALIVE

Our quote for today’s devotional is:

Hope is the pillar that holds up the world." – African Proverb

Devotional:
Hope is a powerful force that sustains us even in the darkest times. Without hope, the world we know and live in would crumble. It is the ability to look out for the rainbow in the midst of the storm, to stand firm in the face of the fiercest challenges, that keeps us moving forward. Hope fuels our spirit and strengthens our resolve when all seems lost.

When we feel weighed down by life’s burdens, hope whispers that there is always a new day, a new opportunity, and a new beginning. It reminds us that the storms will pass, and on the other side lies growth, transformation, and renewal. As believers, our hope is not anchored in fleeting circumstances but rooted deeply in God’s promises—His faithfulness never fails. No matter what you are facing today, know that there is hope for your future because God holds it securely in His hands.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. In what areas of my life do I need to re-ignite hope?
  2. How has God shown Himself faithful in past situations that seemed hopeless?
  3. How can I share hope with others who are struggling?

LET US PRAY:
Lord, when I feel weary, remind me of the hope I have in You. Help me to cling to Your promises and to trust that You are always working for my good. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • Hope will get me to where I am going.
  • My hope is alive and steadfast, anchored in God’s promises.
  • I trust that brighter days are ahead, even when I can’t see them yet.
  • I am filled with hope that empowers me to keep moving forward.

Do have a fulfilling day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!

26-NOVEMBER-2024 - FACING YOUR FEARS

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: FACING YOUR FEARS

The quote for today’s devotional is:

A brave man is not one who doesn't feel fear, but one who conquers fear. - African Proverb

Devotional:

Fear is a natural emotion, but it should not control our lives. True courage is not the absence of fear, but the determination to press forward despite it.

What we usually fear is not real, they are perceptions, assumptions and not reality.

Do not let your fears stop you from taking actions; you may or may not experience your fears. When we face our fears, we grow stronger, more confident, and more reliant on God's promises. God’s Word tells us not to be afraid because He is with us always.

The greatest victories often lie on the other side of fear.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What is a fear I am currently facing?
  2. What has my fears stopped me from doing?
  3. How have I seen God's strength carry me through fearful moments in the past?
  4. What steps can I take today to move past fear and embrace courage?

LET US PRAY:

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • Fear will not prevent me from getting to where I am going.
  • I am courageous, and with God’s help, I can face any fear.
  • Fear does not define me; I walk in faith and confidence.
  • I embrace challenges as opportunities to grow and strengthen my spirit.

Do have a fearless day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!

25-NOVEMBER-2024 - THE NEED FOR SELF CARE

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: THE NEED FOR SELF CARE

The quote for today’s devotional is:

Even the lion protects himself against flies. - African Proverb

Devotional:

Self-care is not selfish; it is necessary. Even the strongest creatures know when to pause, to protect themselves from the small irritations that could become big distractions. In our fast-paced world, it's easy to forget that taking care of ourselves physically, mentally, and spiritually is vital for long-term success and well-being. Self-care allows us to be more present for others, more effective in our work, and more aligned with God’s purpose.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Do I love myself?
  2. In what ways have I neglected self-care recently?
  3. How can I incorporate moments of rest and rejuvenation into my daily routine?
  4. What small irritations do I need to pause and protect myself from?

LET US PRAY:
Lord, teach me to care for myself as You care for me. Help me to see self-care not as an indulgence, but as a way to honor the body and mind You have given me. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • Self care is essential to help me get to where I am going.
  • I will prioritize my well-being.
  • I honor my body, mind, and spirit by giving them the rest they deserve.
  • I give myself permission to pause, reflect, and rejuvenate.

Do have a rest filled day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!

24-NOVEMBER-2024 - ACCOUNTABILITY - THE JOY OF A GOOD SUPPORT SYSTEM

THE MAIN THEME: HOW DO I GET TO WHERE I AM GOING?

TITLE: ACCOUNTABILITY: THE JOY OF A GOOD SUPPORT SYSTEM

The quote for today’s devotional is:

If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." – African Proverb

Devotional:
Accountability is a powerful tool for growth. It keeps us anchored and reminds us that we do not walk this journey alone. A good support system (this can be friends, family, or community) keeps us in check, grounded, encouraged, and focused. When we invite others into our journey, we give ourselves the opportunity to enjoy the joy of shared burdens and collective wisdom. There is strength in allowing others to hold us accountable, not as a form of control, but as a loving reminder that we are capable of greatness.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Who in my life holds me accountable in a positive way?
  2. How do I support others on their journey toward growth?
  3. What are some areas of my life where I need to embrace accountability?

LET US PRAY:
Lord, I thank You for the people You have placed in my life who support and hold me accountable. Help me to be open to correction and guidance and to offer the same to others in love. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • Accountability will help me get to where I am going
  • I welcome accountability and embrace the growth that comes from it.
  • I will choose people who will love and support me on my journey.
  • I hold myself responsible for my actions and support others in doing the same.

Do have a fulfilling day. Take good care of yourself and see you tomorrow!
