05-FEBRUARY-2025 - MAKING WISE DECISIONS AMIDST PEER INFLUENCE

THE MAIN THEME: THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE - MAKING WISE DECISIONS AMIDST PEER INFLUENCE

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)
"The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,  and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding."

Devotional:
Ava’s friends wanted to skip class to hang out at the mall. She hesitated because she knew skipping school was wrong, but she didn’t want to seem uncool. Before making a decision, Ava remembered the story of Solomon, who asked God for wisdom instead of riches (1 Kings 3:5-14). She whispered a quick prayer for guidance. Inspired by Solomon’s choice, Ava decided to stay in school and encouraged her friends to do the same. While a few teased her, others admired her courage, and one even thanked her for standing firm.

When faced with peer pressure, seeking wisdom from God can give you the strength to make the right decision, even when it’s unpopular.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. When was the last time you felt pressured to make a decision?
  2. How can praying for wisdom help you handle similar situations?

Let us pray:

God, give me wisdom in every decision. Help me to stay true to You and not be influenced by the wrong voices. Amen

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them

  • I am guided by God’s wisdom.
  • I make decisions that honor Him, even when it’s hard.

Do have an amazing day. I’ll see you tomorrow.

04-FEBRUARY-2025 - MAKING GOD-CENTERED CHOICES

THE MAIN THEME: THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: MAKING GOD-CENTERED CHOICES

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Matthew 6:33 (NIV)
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."

Devotional:
Ethan was a natural leader at school and often found himself in the spotlight. One day, his classmates asked him to organize a party during exam week. He knew it wasn’t the right time, but he feared disappointing his friends. That evening, while reading the story of Joshua, who boldly declared, “As for me and my household, we will serve the Lord” (Joshua 24:15), Ethan realized he needed to put God first. He decided to skip the party planning and focus on his studies. Though some friends were upset, Ethan felt peace knowing he had chosen wisely.

When you put God at the center of your choices, He will guide and bless you, even if others don’t understand.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What does it mean to make God the center of your choices?
  2. How can your decisions today impact your future?

Let us pray

Father, help me to seek You first in all my decisions. Let my life honor You in every way. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them

  • I choose to put God first in all I do.
  • My choices reflect my faith in Him.

Do have an amazing day. I’ll see you tomorrow.

03-FEBRUARY-2025 - BUILDING CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM

MAIN THEME; THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: BUILDING CONFIDENCE AND SELF-ESTEEM

The quote for today’s devotional is:

“Believe you can, and you’re halfway there.”

  •  Theodore Roosevelt

Devotional

Confidence and self-esteem are built when you understand your worth and embrace who you are. It’s not about being perfect or comparing yourself to others. It is about recognizing that you are unique, valuable, and capable of achieving great things.

True confidence comes from within, not from the opinions of others. It’s knowing that even when you face challenges or setbacks, your worth doesn’t change. Every day is an opportunity to grow, learn, and step into the person you were created to be.

Here are a few reflective questions

1.What are three things you love about yourself?

2.How can you focus on your strengths instead of your weaknesses today?

3.What steps can you take to build your confidence and believe in your abilities?

Let us pray:

Dear God, thank You for creating me with unique gifts and a purpose. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and to walk in confidence every day in Jesus name.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • I am confident, capable, and worthy of success.
  • I choose to believe in myself and my abilities today.

Take a step of confidence today and I’ll see you tomorrow!

02-FEBRUARY-2025 - PRACTICING GRATITUDE AND POSITIVE THINKING

MAIN THEME; THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: PRACTICING GRATITUDE AND POSITIVE THINKING

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: 1 Thessalonians 5:18  (NIV)

“give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”

Devotional

The dusty streets of a small village were alive with whispers. Everyone was talking about Jesus, the teacher and healer who was passing through. Ten men approached Him. Their clothes were tattered, and their faces bore the marks of a life lived in isolation. They were lepers, outcasts who couldn’t live among the rest of men.

From a distance, they cried out, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” Their voices carried both desperation and hope, as if they knew this might be their only chance for healing.

Jesus stopped. His gaze was full of compassion, and His words were simple yet powerful: “Go, show yourselves to the priests.”

The ten men hesitated for just a moment before obeying. As they walked away, something incredible happened. Their skin, once marred by disease, became clear. They were healed!

For one of them,  instead of going to the priests, he turned back, his face radiant with joy. He ran to Jesus, fell at His feet, and thanked Him over and over again.

Jesus looked at him and asked, “Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Has no one returned to give praise to God except this foreigner?”

The man, a Samaritan, bowed low, his gratitude evident in every word and action. Jesus smiled at him and said, “Rise and go; your faith has made you whole.”

The man had already been physically healed, but Jesus offered him something even greater. To be made whole meant that his healing went beyond his body. His gratitude and faith opened the door to a deeper transformation, one that brought him peace, restoration, and a renewed relationship with God. (Luke 17:12-19)

Here are few reflective questions:

  1. When was the last time you thanked God for something? How did it make you feel?
  2. What are three things you can be grateful for today, even if they seem small?
  3. How do you think practicing gratitude daily can change your outlook on life?

Let us pray

Dear God, thank You for the many blessings in my life, both big and small. Teach me to have a heart of gratitude and to focus on Your goodness every day. Help me to see the positive in every situation in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them.

  • I choose to focus on the good in my life.
  • I am grateful for the blessings I have, and I trust that more are on the way.
  • Gratitude brings wholeness to my heart and mind.

Stay positive and I'll see you tomorrow.

01-FEBRUARY-2025 - EMBRACING AUTHENTICITY AND INDIVIDUALITY

MAIN THEME; THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: EMBRACING AUTHENTICITY AND INDIVIDUALITY

The quote for today’s devotional is: "Be yourself; everyone else is already taken."

  • Oscar Wilde

Devotional

In a world that constantly tells you who to be, it can feel overwhelming to stand out and embrace your true self. Social media, peer pressure, and societal expectations often create a mold that everyone seems to follow. But God didn’t create you to fit into someone else’s mold. He made you uniquely you.

Think about it: no two fingerprints are the same, no two voices sound exactly alike, and no one else has your exact combination of talents, quirks, and dreams. You are a masterpiece, carefully designed by the Creator of the universe.

When you try to imitate others or hide parts of who you are, you miss out on the amazing plans God has for your life. Embracing your authenticity means recognizing your worth in Christ and celebrating the individuality He’s given you.

Practical Steps to Embrace Your Authenticity

  1. Study the Bible and spend time praying to understand how God sees you.
  2. Celebrate Your strengths and weaknesses
  3. Say no to comparison as it makes you lose sight of your own unique value.
  4. Be authentic about your feelings. Share your struggles and joys with trusted friends or mentors.

Let us pray

Dear God, thank You for creating me as a unique masterpiece. Help me to see myself through Your eyes and embrace the individuality You’ve given me. Amen.

Here are a few reflective questions

  1. What are some unique qualities or talents that God has given you?
  2. Have you ever felt pressured to be someone you’re not? How did it make you feel?
  3. How can you start embracing your authenticity and individuality this week?

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I am God’s masterpiece, uniquely created with purpose and love.
  • I embrace my individuality and trust that God’s plans for me are perfect

Have an amazing day and see you tomorrow.
