15-FEBRUARY-2025 - PURPOSE AND MOTIVATION

THE MAIN THEME:  PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: PURPOSE AND MOTIVATION

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Galatians 6:9 (NIV)

Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up

Devotional

Living with purpose simply means aligning our lives with God’s plan and intentions, serving him and fulfilling the unique calling he has placed on each of our lives.

Apostle Paul reminded the Philippians of an inner strength that comes from faith in Christ. This inner strength empowers us to overcome obstacles, face challenges and continuously strive to improve ourselves

Staying motivated involves regular prayer, engaging with scripture, participating in a faith community and remembering the promises and faithfulness of God as you pursue your calling. Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with. There is a promised reward waiting for us if we consistently live a purpose-driven life.

Fear and discouragement are two of the biggest roadblocks on the path to living a purpose driven life. They can hold us back, preventing us from taking necessary steps towards our God given plans. This verse reminds us of God’s ever abiding presence. Acknowledging that God will always be there for us drives away all doubt and fears. And we can boldly declare like Apostle Paul that we can do all things through Christ which strengthens us.

Here are a few reflective questions;

  1. What is my deepest most meaningful purpose in life? What motivates me most deeply?
  2. Is it intrinsic (e.g passion, purpose) or extrinsic (e.g. rewards, recognition)?
  3. What obstacles or challenges prevent me from staying motivated? How can I overcome them?

Let us Pray:

Thank you Lord, for your word to me today. Father I am grateful for the opportunities that allow me to live my purpose and make a difference in my generation, today I finds joy and fulfilment in pursuing my purpose, and this motivates me to strive for excellence in Jesus mighty name Amen

Please say these words of affirmation.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • My purpose fuels my passion, and my passion drives me forward
  • Every step I take, every action I take, brings me closer to fulfilling my purpose
  • I am motivated to live a life of purpose and make a positive impact on the world.

Enjoy your day, I’ll see you, tomorrow.

14-FEBRUARY-2025 - PEER PRESSURE AND PRIORITIES

THE MAIN THEME: THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE - PEER PRESSURE AND PRIORITIES

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Romans 12:2 (NIV)
"Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will."

Devotional:
Sophia was excited to start her first year in high school. She quickly made new friends, but soon they began pressuring her to skip homework for hours of video games. At first, it seemed harmless. But as her grades dropped, so did her confidence. One day, during a youth group meeting, her leader shared the story of Daniel and his friends, who refused to eat food that went against their faith (Daniel 1:8-20). Inspired, Sophia decided to prioritize her studies and her faith. She politely set boundaries with her friends, and though it was hard at first, she eventually found a new group that supported her priorities.

Like Daniel and Sophia, you can choose to honor God and prioritize what truly matters, even when others push you to compromise.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What are your priorities right now?
  2. Are they influenced by what others think, or are they based on God’s plan for your life?

Let us pray:

Lord, help me to prioritize what matters most to You. Give me the courage to stand firm against peer pressure and trust in Your plan for my life. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them

  • I choose God’s priorities over the world’s pressures.
  • I stand firm in who God created me to be.

Have a self determined day, based on your priorities, my lovelies. I’ll see you tomorrow.

13-FEBRUARY-2025 - THE PROCESS OF FULFILLING PURPOSE- DREAMS - GOALS - ACTION

THE MAIN THEME: PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: THE PROCESS OF FULFILLING PURPOSE: DREAMS - GOALS - ACTION

The Bible verse for today’s devotional is:  Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Devotional:

It bears repeating that we are all made for a divine purpose and God is committed to helping us get there. The story about Joseph is a graphic tale of how a young man believed his literal dream meant he would one day be a leader. For some of us, it may not be a dream in that sense, but rather an idea that won’t go away. In whatever way a dream presents itself, a good place to start would be to document it- write it down, allow yourself think of all the possibilities that could happen if nothing or no one stopped you, then allow yourself to draw up possible things you can do, on the immediate, to help you start the journey to attaining your dreams.  Then start doing the things you can, a little at a time, leaving room for refinement of your actions as the case may be.

It is important to start with the end in mind, allow yourself to see it in your mind, believe it enough to write it down, then go the extra mile to write out how you want to go about it and then take action- just do it!!

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Have I clarified my dreams and written them down in a book or electronically?
  2. Have I written out my goals- the plans that I can carry out that will lead me to the outcome I see?
  3. What can I do today to ensure I start an action that will propel me nearer to my desired outcome?

Let us pray:

Dear God, I ask for the discipline and courage to do my best each day as I live out our purpose for my life, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I am not an accident, God has a purpose for my life.
  • I walk in consciousness of that plan.
  • I have the discipline and courage to do all I need to do to achieve my life’s purpose.

Dear lovelies, I wish you a beautiful day. I’ll see you tomorrow.

12-FEBRUARY-2025 - PURPOSE AND PASSION - THE DIFFERENCE

THE MAIN THEME: THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: PURPOSE AND PASSION: THE DIFFERENCE

The quote for today’s devotional is:

“You have a masterpiece inside you, you know. One unlike any that has ever been created, or ever will be. If you go to your grave without painting your masterpiece, it will not get painted. No one else can paint it. Only you.”

  •  Gordon Mackenzie

Devotional:

Purpose and passion are closely connected, but they are not the same. Your purpose is the unique reason God created you—a divine assignment designed to impact the world in a way only you can. Passion, on the other hand, is the fire that fuels your journey, giving you the energy and enthusiasm to live out that purpose. Passion can ignite action, but purpose sustains it.

God has placed within you a masterpiece, a contribution that no one else can offer. This masterpiece could be a vision, a calling, or a unique blend of talents and experiences. Too often, we allow fear, comparison, or procrastination to stop us from stepping into our purpose. Yet, the scripture reminds us that we are not ordinary—we are God’s masterpiece, created to fulfill good works that have been prepared for us in advance.

When passion aligns with purpose, it brings clarity and power. Your purpose may not always feel exciting, but it is rooted in God’s eternal plan for your life. Your life becomes a canvas where God paints His story through you. Passion may fade, but purpose will carry you through seasons of doubt and fatigue.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What breaks your heart and stirs your spirit?
  2. How can you channel that passion into fulfilling God’s purpose?
  3. Are you willing to persevere even when the excitement wanes?

Let Us Pray:
Father, let my passions align with Your purpose. Help me to channel my energy into what glorifies You, and give me the perseverance to see it through. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I am guided by divine purpose.
  • My passions are tools that God uses to fuel my calling.
  • I will remain steadfast in my journey.

Stay purposeful. The world is waiting to see your greatness.

11-FEBRUARY-2025 - SOME LIFE LESSONS FOR PURPOSEFUL LIVING

THE MAIN THEME: PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: SOME LIFE LESSONS FOR PURPOSEFUL LIVING

The bible verse for today’s devotional is:  Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV)
"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight."

Devotional:

When David faced Goliath in the Bible, I imagine that day was an ordinary day that turned extraordinary. Or when Joseph was called out of prison to come to the palace and help Pharoah interpret his dream, it must have been an ordinary day as well, but these ordinary days quickly turned extraordinary and defined the rest of their life because they were prepared.

The thing with living out our purpose is that it is a journey. Some people will discover early in life what their purpose is, while for others, it may be later. For some, what they thought was their purpose may change with changing seasons (or how they carry out that purpose may evolve), and sometimes, things will happen that makes the ‘purpose’ not feel like it was a God-idea in the first place. Life can sometimes feel like a puzzle.

Our verse today is an anchor verse, because it reminds us that no matter where we are in living out our purpose, we can trust God, we can do our best and put one foot in front of the other as we trust Him to guide us aright. Like David and Joseph, we can do our best, continue to hone our skills, have the right attitude, put our faith to work and show up prepared when the opportunity comes.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What does it mean to trust God, even when I don’t understand the circumstances?
  2. Has there been a time where you saw the hand of God in something that did not work out?
  3. In what ways can I keep reminders of God’s faithfulness to help me stay the course when I am discouraged?

Let us pray:

Dear God, Thank you for planning out my days before I was born. I trust you to guide me to my expected destination, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • God has equipped me for every challenge.
  • I will do my best each day, and trust God to bless my efforts.
  • I am guided daily by the Holy Spirit, He will lead me to my glorious destiny.

Do have an awe-mazing day. I’ll see you tomorrow.
