24-FEBRUARY-2025 - DEVELOPING A GROWTH MINDSET

THE MAIN THEME: PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: DEVELOPING A GROWTH MINDSET

The quote for today’s devotional is: "Be not afraid of growing slowly; be afraid only of standing still."

- Chinese Proverb

Devotional

Growth doesn’t always happen quickly, and that’s okay. The Chinese proverb reminds us that slow progress is still progress, but standing still—refusing to move forward—is what we should fear. Similarly, Proverbs 4:18 paints a picture of steady growth, comparing the journey of the righteous to the gradual brightening of the morning sun.

In life, it’s tempting to feel discouraged when progress seems slow. But God values persistence and faithfulness, not speed. Each small step you take toward becoming the person He created you to be is significant. Trust the process, knowing that God is guiding your journey, no matter how long it takes.

Practical Steps to Embrace Growth

Celebrate small victories as signs of progress; be patient with yourself; keep moving forward; trust God’s timing; and remember, your journey is unique; don’t measure your progress against others.

Here are a few reflective questions :

  1. What is one area of your life where you feel like progress is slow? How can you trust God in that process?
  2. What small steps can you take today to move forward, even if they feel insignificant?

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me that growth takes time. Help me to trust Your process and to keep moving forward, even when progress feels slow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them.

  • "I am growing at my own pace, and that’s okay.
  • Each step I take brings me closer to who God wants me to be."

Keep growing, and I'll see you tomorrow.

TITLE: ALIGNING YOUR ACTIONS WITH YOUR VALUES AND GOALS

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: James 1:22 (NIV)

“Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says”

Devotional

Your values are the principles that guide your decisions, and your goals are the destinations you want to reach. It is not enough to know your values and goals, it's also important to make sure your actions reflect them.

Living in alignment isn’t always easy. as distractions, fears, or peer pressure can someone pull you away from what truly matters. But when you consistently align your actions with your values and goals, you’ll feel more confident, purposeful, and at peace.

Practical Steps to Align Your Actions

  1. Define your values- the things that are most important to you (e.g., faith, family, honesty).
  2. Set clear goals of what you want to achieve in different areas of your life.
  3. Evaluate Your Actions to know if your choices reflect your values and move you closer to your goals.
  4. Make adjustments if your actions don’t align.
  5. Have an accountability partner who helps you stay focused on your values and goals

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What are three values that are most important to you, and why?
  2. Are there any actions in your life right now that don’t align with your values or goals? How can you change them?
  3. How can you rely on God to help you stay true to your values and achieve your goals?

Let us pray

Heavenly Father, help me to always make choices that honor You and reflect who I want to become. When I’m tempted to stray, remind me of what truly matters in Jesus’ name, Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them

"I choose to live in alignment with my values and goals, trusting that my actions will lead me to a life of purpose and meaning."

Stay purposeful and I'll see you tomorrow.

22-FEBRUARY-2025 - WHY SHOULD I FULFILL PURPOSE

THE MAIN THEME:  PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: WHY SHOULD I FULFILL PURPOSE?

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Ephesians 2:10  (NIV)

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

Devotional

Fulfilling your purpose is about living a life that is both meaningful and fulfilling.  As God’s masterpiece, you were created to fulfil God’s dream for humanity on earth. Failure to achieve this feat is an error! Because his purpose must stand with or without you. Isaiah 46:10 I make known the end from the beginning from ancient times, what is still to come, I say, ‘My purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please.’

When your actions align with your values and beliefs, you experience a deeper sense of meaning and fulfilment. This can lead to greater overall happiness and life satisfaction. The best of it all is that you are a part of “thy kingdom come, your will be done here on earth as it is done in heaven”

Jeremiah 32:19 Great are your purposes and mighty are your deeds.  Your eyes are open to the ways of all mankind; you reward each person according to their conduct and as their deeds deserve. God is faithful: 1 Thess 5:24 He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it. He will help you cultivate persistence, resilience, meaningful relationships and enhance your personal development and growth when you choose to live a purpose-driven life.

Here are a few reflective questions;

What are the potential consequences of ignoring my inner calling? Could I experience feelings of emptiness, regret, or a lack of fulfilment.

How can I contribute to something larger than myself? What impact can I have on the world by living a purpose-driven life

Let us Pray:

Thank you Lord, for your word to me today. I receive grace to embrace the opportunities for growth and fulfilment that come with living a purpose-driven life in Jesus name Amen

Please say these words of affirmation.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • I am worthy of a life filled with meaning and purpose
  • I choose to life a life without regrets, knowing that I have lived in alignment with my purpose

Do have a pleasant day. I’ll see you tomorrow

21-FEBRUARY-2025 - IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN PURPOSE AND CAREER

THE MAIN THEME:  PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: IS THERE A DIFFERENCE IN PURPOSE AND CAREER

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Colossians 3:23

Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,

Devotional

The answer to the topic for today’s devotional is yes; there is a difference between purpose and career.

Purpose is the fundamental reason for your existence.  It’s about your values, beliefs and the impact you want to make on the world.  Your purpose encompasses all aspects of your life, including relationships, hobbies, and personal growth. Your purpose is enduring and unchanging, a constant and a guiding force throughout your life.

Your career is the path you choose in pursuit for financial stability, personal growth, and professional development. It primarily relates to your job responsibilities, and achievements in the workforce. Your career can change overtime as you gain experience, explore new interests, or pursue different goals

Ideally, your career should align with your purpose allowing you to use your skills and talents to make a meaningful contribution to humanity. Your career may not perfectly mirror your purpose, but it can still be a valuable part of your process in life.

It is important to align your career to a purpose-driven life, that is the only time you will find fulfilment and satisfaction in all you do. Prov 19:21” Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” This verse encourages us to align our aspirations and decisions with God’s ultimate will, trusting in His sovereignty and timing.

In today’s text God wants us to engage in whatever we do in life with all our might as unto him, whether in your job (career) or work (purpose).  Our reward for faithful stewardship is from Him alone.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What are my core values? What principles are most important to me?
  2. What impact do I want to make on the world?
  3. How do I want to contribute to something larger than myself?

Let us Pray:

Thank you, Lord, for your word to me today. I receive grace to do all that I ought to do with all my might to the glory of your name in Jesus name Amen

Please say these words of affirmation.  Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • I am grateful for the opportunity to discover and live my purpose
  • I am confident in my ability to create a meaningful and lasting impact on the world

Live today purposefully, I’ll see you tomorrow.

20-FEBRUARY-2025 - DREAMING BIG - SETTING LIFE GOALS

THE MAIN THEME: THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE

TITLE: DREAMING BIG: SETTING LIFE GOALS

The quote for today’s devotional is”:
"Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss, you’ll land among the stars."

– Norman Vincent Peale

Devotional:
Imagine standing at the base of a towering mountain, looking up at its peak. It may seem far away, but you can reach it with determination and a clear plan. Setting life goals is like deciding which mountain to climb and charting your path to the summit.

Think about Nelson Mandela. As a young man, he dared to dream big for himself and an entire nation. Despite obstacles, he relentlessly pursued his vision of equality and freedom. His life shows us that big dreams, coupled with perseverance, can change your life and the world around you.

Dreaming big doesn’t mean ignoring reality; embracing your potential and refusing to settle for mediocrity. Setting life goals gives your dreams structure, turning vague aspirations into actionable plans. Break them down into short-term steps and celebrate each milestone along the way. Remember, no dream is too big if you’re willing to put in the effort and stay focused.

Never be afraid to dream big—it’s the first step to greatness. Start small, stay consistent, and trust the process.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What is one big dream you’ve always wanted to pursue?
  2. What steps can you take today to achieve that dream?
  3. Are there fears or doubts holding you back from setting life goals?
  4. How can you stay motivated when the journey gets tough?

Let us pray:
Lord, thank You for the gift of vision and dreams. Teach me to dream big and set goals that align with your life's purpose. Give me the courage, wisdom, and strength to pursue them, trusting that You will guide me every step of the way. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  • I dare to dream big and set meaningful goals for my life.
  • I take steps daily toward achieving my dreams.
  • I am capable of turning my visions into reality.
  • With determination and faith, I can overcome any obstacle.

Your dreams matter, and so do you. Have a fantastic day filled with vision and purpose. See you tomorrow!
