11-SEPTEMBER-2024 - BLIND WALK AND LEADERSHIP LESSONS

THE MAIN THEME: WHERE AM I HEADED TO?

TITLE: BLIND WALK AND LEADERSHIP LESSONS

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: 2 Corinthians 5:7 (NIV)

"For we walk by faith, not by sight."

Devotional:

A leader is visionary. A leader knows where he and his team are headed and guides or is guided. Vision goes beyond what the physical eyes can see. It is not what you see but how you see it that matters.

Helen Keller, who was both blind and deaf, achieved incredible things despite her challenges.. With the help of her teacher, Anne Sullivan, she learned to communicate and became a renowned author and speaker. Her story is a testament to the power of perseverance, faith and the importance of having someone to guide us.

Faith and trust in God can guide us even when we can't see the full path ahead.

Good leaders often have to walk by faith, trusting in their vision and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. Trust God with your future and develop your leadership skills. Participate in leadership activities at school or church. Lead by example and walk by faith, even when the way forward isn’t clear.

LET US PRAY:

Dear God, I want to be a good leader. Help me to walk by faith and to trust You even when I cannot see the way. Amen.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  • How can I demonstrate my leadership skills in my daily life?
  • Do I trust God enough to see me through to my destination?

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I know where I am headed
  • I walk by faith, trusting in God's guidance for my life.

Be faithful with and to God today. Be good, be you. See you tomorrow.

09-SEPTEMBER-2024 - CRAFTING MY VISION

THE MAIN THEME: WHERE AM I HEADED TO?

TITLE: CRAFTING MY VISION

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Habakkuk 2:2 (NIV)

"Then the Lord replied: “Write down the revelation and make it plain on tablets so that a herald may run with it"

Devotional:

Your vision is your goals, aspirations and dreams for your future? This is not about education alone but about every sphere of your life; career, spiritual, relationships and other personal achievements. Having a clear vision for your life is essential. Writing down your vision makes it tangible and helps you stay focused and motivated.

Joseph had dreams of his future that guided him throughout his life. Despite being sold into slavery and facing numerous challenges, Joseph never lost sight of the vision God had given him. His dreams eventually led him to become a powerful leader in Egypt, saving many lives.

Joseph’s story shows us the importance of holding onto our dreams, even when the journey is tough.

Spend time in prayer and reflection to understand God's vision for your life. Create a vision board or journal to outline your goals and dreams with regards to every area of your life.

Keep your vision in a place where you can see it daily and be reminded of your purpose.

LET US PRAY:

Dear God, help me to see the vision You have for my life and give me the courage to pursue it. Amen."

Here are a few reflective questions

  • What dreams and goals has God placed in my heart?
  • How can I start crafting my vision today?

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I know where I am headed
  • I am focused on the vision God has for my life.
  • I will work towards it with faith.

Stay focused today. See you tomorrow.

08-SEPTEMBER-2024 - THE IMPACT OF MENTORS IN SHAPING AND REFINING YOUR VISION

THE MAIN THEME: WHERE AM I HEADED TO?

TITLE: THE IMPACT OF MENTORS IN SHAPING AND REFINING YOUR VISION

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Proverbs 27:17 (NIV)

"As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another."

Devotional:

Mentors play a crucial role in shaping and refining our vision. They provide advice, guidance, wisdom and support on how to navigate challenges and stay focused on goals.

Timothy was a young man with great potential, but he needed guidance. Paul, an experienced leader, saw this potential and took Timothy under his wing. Through Paul’s mentorship, Timothy grew in wisdom, faith, and leadership, eventually becoming a key figure in the early church.

Just as Paul mentored Timothy, we too can benefit from the insights and experiences of those who have walked the path before us.

Seek out mentors in your life – parents, teachers, youth leaders. Be open to learning from their experiences and wisdom. Ask for guidance and support as you pursue your vision and goals.

LET US PRAY:

Lord, thank You for the grace to have mentors. Help to find my mentors and make me a good mentee so I can achieve my vision. Amen.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  • Where am I headed to? Who is already on that path?
  • What steps can I take to seek guidance from them?

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

  • I know where I am headed
  • I will be open to learning from mentors.

Be open to learning today. Take good care of yourself. See you tomorrow.

07-SEPTEMBER-2024 - BREAKING FREE FROM LIMITING BELIEFS

THE MAIN THEME: WHERE AM I HEADED TO?

TITLE: BREAKING FREE FROM LIMITING BELIEFS

The bible verse for today’s devotional is: Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

Devotional:

In our journey through life, we often encounter beliefs and thoughts that can either propel us forward or hold us back. These limiting beliefs, often rooted in past experiences, negative self-talk, or societal influences, can become barriers to the abundant life God has planned for us. It is important to guard our hearts, for everything we do flows from it. Our heart is the wellspring of our thoughts, emotions, and actions. If we allow it to be filled with negativity and doubt, our lives will reflect that and may prevent us from getting to our desired destination in life.

Guarding your heart means being vigilant about what you allow to influence your inner being. It involves filtering out negative thoughts and replacing them with God’s truth. It means believing that you are who God says you are – His beloved, and capable one who is destined for greatness.

When God called Moses. to lead the Israelites out of Egypt, Moses was full of doubt. He believed he wasn’t eloquent enough and feared the task was too great for him. But God saw beyond Moses’ limitations and empowered him to accomplish what seemed impossible. Just as in Moses’ situation, understand that God can and will equip and empower you with what is required to accomplish your  assignment; as long as He is the one who sent you.

God’s Word is filled with promises of strength, wisdom, and victory. By aligning our thoughts with His truth, we can overcome any obstacle.

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. What limiting beliefs have been holding me back from reaching my full potential?
  2. How can I guard your heart against negative thoughts and influences?
  3. How can I replace negative self-talk with positive, faith-filled affirmations?

 LET US PRAY:

Heavenly Father, help me to identify and break free from any limiting beliefs that may prevent me from getting to where I am headed. Amen

Please say these words of affirmation. Say them, mean them, own them and live them

  • I know where I am headed.
  • I choose to speak positive, faith-filled words over my life, knowing that with God, all things are possible.

Let's do this now - Please mention one of your limiting beliefs and turn it to a positive one.

Have you done that? Good job if you have., Continue to affirm it.

Have a splendid day. See you tomorrow.
