TITLE: UNAPOLOGETICALLY AUTHENTIC

Our bible verse for today's devotional is: Psalm 139:14, (NIV)

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.  

Devotional:

There is something powerful about being yourself and not the version that tries to please everyone or fit into every box. Being authentic in a world that pressures you to be like everyone else is an act of courage.

God didn’t create you to shrink or edit yourself to be accepted. He made you with care and purpose. Your personality, your quirks, your story- they are all part of His masterpiece. You don’t have to apologize for who you are when you are walking in the truth of who He made you to be.

Yes, being authentic may mean standing out. It may mean others don’t always “get” you. But it also means freedom, freedom to live without pretending.

So, live boldly; laugh loudly and love deeply. And most of all, stay true to the original version of you that God created on purpose, for a purpose.

Here are a few reflective questions:

1. In what ways have I felt pressured to change who I am?
2. What do I love about the way God made me?
3. How can I practice being more authentic this week?

Let us Pray:

God, thank You for creating me just the way I am. Help me to embrace my true self and walk confidently in Your purpose for me. I choose to be unapologetically authentic.  I choose to be ME. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them and live them:

• I am fearfully and wonderfully made. 
• I will show up as my authentic self and live with confidence.
