30-MAY-2025 - NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN

THE MAIN THEME: FAILING FORWARD

TITLE: NEVER TOO LATE TO START AGAIN

Our bible verse for today’s devotional is: Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV)
"“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.!"

Devotional:
Life often presents us with moments of failure, regret, or missed opportunities. Maybe you’ve made irreversible mistakes, or you feel like you’ve wasted too much time. But here’s the truth—no matter how far you’ve fallen or how late it feels, you can always begin again.

Think of Thomas Edison, the inventor of the light bulb. He failed over a thousand times before he finally succeeded. When asked about his failures, he famously said he didn’t fail; he just found a thousand ways that didn’t work. His persistence proves that failure isn’t the end—it’s just a stepping stone to something greater.

In the Bible, Peter denied Jesus three times, a mistake that devastated him. Yet, Jesus didn’t discard him. Instead, He restored Peter and gave him a greater mission—to be a foundational leader in the early Church. Peter’s story reminds us that failure doesn’t define us; our response does.

So, what’s holding you back? Whether it’s fear, shame, or doubt, remember that God’s grace is endless. Each new day is an opportunity to rewrite your story. It’s never too late to start again!

Here are a few reflective questions:

  1. Is there a situation where I feel it’s too late to start over?
  2. What lessons can I learn from past mistakes to help me move forward?
  3. How can I shift my mindset to see failure as a stepping stone rather than a dead end?
  4. What small steps can I take today toward a fresh start?

Let us pray:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the gift of new beginnings. Help me to release my past failures and embrace the opportunities ahead. Strengthen my heart to trust in Your plan and move forward with courage. Amen.

Please say these words of affirmation after me. Say them, mean them, own them, and live them:

  1. My past does not define me; I am entering a new beginning.
  2. I am learning, growing, and becoming better every day.
  3. I trust God’s plan and believe in second chances.
  4. I will not let fear hold me back—I am moving forward with faith.

Keep moving forward and keep growing. I’ll see you tomorrow!
